Serve with Purpose
Use your talents so that those least-reached may hear.
TACO members have used a wide variety of talents in conveying the gospel: music, dance, theater, visual arts, circus arts, extreme sports and martial arts. Whatever your creative gift, we’ll show you how you can use it to glorify your Creator God! TACO is also keen to hear from you if you love to serve behind the scenes in areas like administration, graphic design or finance.

Join a short-term outreach
Most people new to TACO join us first on a single tour – going to one or multiple places for a set amount of time between one and three weeks. You might be a musician, a dancer, a painter or just someone willing to serve behind the scenes and you feel God’s nudge to use the gifts He’s given you for His glory.
We’ll have you fill out an application form and ask you for a reference. If you’re a creative artist, we’ll also ask you for photos or videos that highlight your work.
TACO short-termers raise their own finance. We’ll set the amount you’ll need to cover your airfare, any needed visas as well as the costs on the ground. We provide you with orientation that will help you raise the funds.
You’ll be provided with orientation when you arrive, a great group of people to minister with, and a debrief when you leave. But be warned – you won’t return as the same person who came! Your friends will get tired of hearing the statistics of how many believers there are in Kyrgyzstan or the amazing things that God is doing in Albania.

“I have had many years experience playing and performing music, never quite finding fulfilment in music ‘till I discovered a reason to perform. Then I discovered TACO – a group of people with an extraordinary passion to reach the lost, in whatever artistic means they could. I had ideas and presumptions of what creative arts outreach looked like, presumptions God very quickly challenged as He changed and rearranged plans around us. Ironically, it was often the unscheduled changes and impromptu performances, that made the most impact on the people that gathered.
I am so very thankful for the lessons I learned and the privilege it was to serve alongside TACO, seeking to win souls with a passion for the glory of Jesus.

Join us for longer
TACO welcomes people who want to come longer than just a single tour but aren’t quite ready to sign away their lives on the dotted line yet!
We fit so perfectly into a ‘gap year’ – that year between school and university. Or maybe you’re between careers and want to dip your toe into cross-cultural living and language learning – for a view of coming back longer. If it’s an internship opportunity you’re looking for, TACO could be the place for you! But we need to warn you….all of our long-termers came originally as short-termers!
If you’re single, you’ll be welcomed into one of the team flats. You’ll receive training in language and culture. And you’ll be on a team that does regular outreaches in your city and to other places that TACO travels while still having time to work on your art form and get involved with locals in your setting.
Married couples are also welcome, and we’ll find accommodation that gives you your own space during your time with us. Children are welcome, too!
If you’re interested in being a longer-term member of the TACO team, click on the conversation tab below and let’s start the conversation.
“I joined TACO for almost 4 months over the summer. It was incredible being part of a team that are all using their talents and gifts for furthering God’s Kingdom. I learnt so much about how God could use my dance in a great variety of situations; from leading dance workshops and to dancing for an audience of 1,000 people or on dusty bridge in a Roma village. God taught me how to find my security in him, not looking to people for approval in my dancing but knowing that His approval is always there. This made me so much more confident and able to be focused on him when dancing in outreaches.
This short term trip has definitely been the biggest and best experience of my life. I know it is also a beginning not an end and I will use my experience from this short term time to build on in other places.”

One-way ticket
Ok, maybe ‘one way ticket’ is an exaggeration. But after coming on TACO’s two year programme, you just might get too attached – to the warm and hospitable people of your new culture, to doing radical church with others, to seeing God’s kingdom come in visible ways all around you – to want to use the return part of your ticket!
TACO members on the two year programme participate in evangelism and tours like everyone with TACO. But they are involved in a much deeper way in daily life where they live. They do focused, supervised language study. They receive training that opens up the culture to them in ways that short-termers don’t get to experience. They become friends with neighbours. They folk dance on the streets on New Year’s Eve. They wave flags with the crowds on national holidays.
They grow in their knowledge of God and His plan for the nations. They grow in Christlikeness as they overcome homesickness, loneliness and culture stress. They learn what real love is as they become family with people from different cultures, countries and denominations.
If you think God might be leading you to join TACO for two years, click on the conversation tab below – we’d love to see how our journeys converge.
“As I was finishing up university and looking at the world ahead of me, I couldn’t shake a burning desire to get out to the unreached. Because I’d played in lots of bands with my friends, I often dreamed of doing concerts where we would share Jesus with all the lost people gathered. So when someone came to my school and explained how they were doing just that amongst millions and millions of unreached Muslims, I was riveted. I remember him explaining how people could join for a couple of years, come help with these outreaches and learn the language and learn how to share Christ with all these people.
Long story short, I took him up on the offer and hopped on the plane. In my first year, I got to start doing those concerts that I dreamed of, and I got to start speaking a whole new language and adjusting to a whole new world. I was learning to confess Him and share His good news in very dark places, constantly meeting new people and sharing on the streets, barber shops, coffee houses, and markets full of friendly people. Is He calling you to give up your plans in your home country and give your life to sharing Him with the unreached?”
